Rooted in Christ Diocesan Pastoral Planning Process Meeting

Rooted in Christ Pastoral Planning Process Meeting – Saint Thomas Gathering
Saturday, January 18, 9 – 10:30 am,  Ministry Center Community Room

As Bishop Walkowiak announced earlier this year, it has been more than a decade since the Diocese of Grand Rapids underwent a pastoral planning process. It is now time to create an updated plan to assess more intentionally the needs and resources of our local church, along with exploring opportunities for growth and evangelization.

The process involves data collection, parish visits, and dialogue to identify challenges and opportunities facing our parishes, schools, and the diocese.

On Saturday, January 18 from 9 – 10:30 am (refreshments beginning after the 8 am Mass) we will have a gathering in the Ministry Center for anyone that would like to learn more about how this process will impact Saint Thomas.

♦ We will present the key findings for the Grand Rapids South Deanery, (St. Thomas is a part of this deanery) and create an understanding of the present reality and projected future.

♦ We will also discuss “possibilities for future ministry” and identify those that are priorities for Saint Thomas.

The priorities that come out of our Parish meeting will be brought back to the diocesan-wide planning committee later in January.
