Consecration to the Sacred Heart of Jesus

250 Hours of Adoration and 250 Works of Mercy
June 1 through July 4, 2026

On June 11, 2026, the U.S. bishops will consecrate the nation to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, inviting all Catholics to pray for unity and healing as we celebrate our 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. Following Pope Francis’s call in Dilexit Nos to “nourish our lives with the strength of the Eucharist,” this initiative allows us to deepen our devotion through Adoration and service, seeing Christ in our brothers and sisters.

Our Parish Goal: 250 Hours of Adoration & 250 Works of Mercy

St. Thomas is aiming to collect 250 Hours of Adoration and 250 Works of Mercy from June 1 to July 4, 2026. Here is how you can participate:

To Achieve 250 Hours of Adoration:

  • Participate in the Corpus Christi Procession on Sunday, June 7.
  • Attend the Corpus Christi Adoration Evening on Friday, June 12.
  • Make a Holy Hour in Church and report it to the Parish Office.

While 250 hours seems like a lot, each person present constitutes an hour prayed.

To Achieve 250 Works of Mercy:

Christian Service Director Lori Fedewa has organized numerous opportunities throughout June:

  • Volunteer: Join the Habitat for Humanity build, help at Kids’ Food Basket or God’s Kitchen
  • Donate: Participate in the Blood Drive, the HELP Baby Diaper & Supplies Drive, or bring items to the Parish food bin.
  • Serve: Many hands are needed at our Parish Feast Day Pig Roast.

These efforts are a testament to our commitment to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and our dedication to serving our community. Join us in making this 250th anniversary a time of profound grace and charity.
