100 Years of ABCs
H Holy Name Society – The Holy Name Society was formed early on at Saint Thomas. The motto of this men’s group was “Respect for Christ and His Holy Name, with conduct in keeping with that Name”. Monthly communion, night adoration, breakfasts and retreats comprised the program. The largest retreat was held at Notre Dame every summer. Smaller retreats were held throughout the year. The last communion/breakfast for this group was held in September, 1969.
Hospitality – The Coffee and Donut Ministry began on November 1, 1987 after all Sunday Masses in the Church Lower Level. Father Don Heydens initiated this hospitality ministry as a tradition that his former parish had done every Sunday.
