100 Years of ABCs

J John Jaska – In 1984, Mr. John Jaska was hired as the first male and the first lay principal in Saint Thomas School history. For most of his nine years, John served as both school principal and Parish Education and Formation Coordinator, which included evening religion classes and sacramental preparation programs.

Jubilee House Project – A team of volunteers for a Jubilee House Project was assembled in 1999 in honor of our 75th anniversary. This project took place in conjunction with the Inner-City Christian Federation. The house which became known as the House of Faith, was located at 1018 Lilac Court. Over 120 volunteers from Saint Thomas took part in this project.
