R Renewing Our House of Faith – The Renewing Our House of Faith campaign began in January 2004 to raise funds for the largest church renovation since 1981. Within four months, 88% of our parish families had pledged their support. Projects included a renovation of the church sanctuary to make room for a new fully immersive baptistery, the removal of some of the stairs in the sanctuary and the addition of tile flooring around and under the altar. The main level choir area was reconfigured to open clear access to the Eucharistic Chapel and allow space for a ramp to the sanctuary. The choir loft was remodeled and the organ was refurbished. The Stations of the Cross were grouped together under the stained glass windows in the main seating section of the church. New carpet and paint and the refurbishment of the pews and kneelers completed the work in the church. In the lower level, the kitchen was renovated and air ventilation was improved. (Air conditioning had been installed in the church in 2002) These renovations were celebrated with gratitude in the Fall of 2004, which coincided with the 50th anniversary of the completed construction of our present church.
