100 Years of ABCs
R Rectory – The original Rectory was across the street at 1436 Wilcox Park Drive. When more space was needed the house on the east side of the rectory, 1440 Wilcox Park Drive, was purchased and a connection was built between the two houses. This breezeway served as an entrance for the parishioners and public. As the Parish continued to grow, the need for a Rectory and Parish Office building was evident. Construction of the present Rectory and Parish Office was completed in 1968. The new Rectory housed an Parish Office and lobby; three offices for priests, a living room dining room, and kitchen on the main floor. Three suites for priests, two guest rooms and an additional suite were on the second floor. The basement housed a rec room, a supply room, a mechanical room, a conference room, laundry room and food storage room. Another basement room was originally designed as a photography or hobby room. It then became an electronics room and later a library. A tunnel was built to connect the Rectory to the Church basement.
