100 Years of ABCs

O Old Gold Project – In the late 1940’s a campaign for gold for a new chalice was held. Parishioners donated gold spectacle rims. rings, watches, broaches, college pins, First Communion medals. Just about anything gold you can think of except for gold tooth fillings was donated. The pastor, Monsignor Sweeney, even donated his high school class ring. A beautiful chalice designed after the Chalice of Antioch was the result. Each time this chalice was used during Mass there was a special connection to Christ for those parishioners who had donated their gold. 

Love and Logic Class

In order to allow for more time to achieve an appropriate amount of sign ups for the course, we have coordinated with our facilitator, Helen Milanowski, for the beginning of Love & Logic classes to be pushed back to the following start date:

• Sunday, March 9 from 2 – 4 pm in the Ministry Center

This means that the first class, originally scheduled for this Sunday, Feb. 23, has been cancelled (class was already not scheduled to take place on March 2, in lieu of the Parish Mission). We apologize for this needed schedule adjustment!

The complete schedule is now planned for the following (all Sundays, 2 – 4 pm, Ministry Center):

•    Classes #1-4: March 9, 16, 23, 30
•    Classes #5-6: April 6 and 13 (tentative–could be adjusted if participants will be out of town for Spring Break on April 6)
