100 Years of ABCs
M Ministry Center – With the remaining Dominican sisters moving out of the convent and to Marywood in 1993, St. Thomas had an empty building. A commission was established soon after to determine the best usage for the building. The building was renovated and reopened as the Ministry Center in 1999. The Center was opened with conference rooms, a dual purpose faculty/conference room and a community room with a kitchen on the first floor. On the second floor the beauty of the stained glass windows that were originally in the Convent Chapel enhance the new Chapel. A resource room and kindergarten and preschool classrooms make up the rest of the second floor. The building is joined to the school to make it accessible to school as well as Parish ministries.
