Religious Education and Faith Formation

The Office of Religious Education & Faith Formation “directs the religious education and formation ministries of the parish assuring that classes and formation activities have adequate lay volunteers and activities conform to the teaching of the church.” This includes Catechist recruitment, training and appreciation, Children’s Education and Formation, Sacramental Preparation (Confirmation/ Reconciliation/ Eucharist), RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults & Children), Adult faith formation opportunities, Supervision of groups or individuals in the Sunday School, Vacation Bible School, Catechesis of the Good Shepherd Programs, and the Parish Resource Center.

To be involved in any of our religious education classes, you must be an active parishioner at Saint Thomas (for a definition of “active parishioner,” please check out our active parishioner guidelines).
